Good day all I just bought a Largo and was ripped off it has quite a few issues and the more I research the more I realise how hard it is to get information or parts. Can anyone help? biggest issues are that I need an idle valve control unit, thermostat, and oil pressure sensor. I need to know where they are situation on the vehicle and where to get them and how much, Nissan Ipswich very unhelpful. I also need to know how to check auto box levels and top up. Hope someone can help
Regards
Nik

Re: I REALLY NEED SOME ADVICE PLEASE
Hey Nik. I was ripped off aswell when i bought mine(list of problems longer than my arm but got there in the end)
type largo handbook into search bar. There's a link I put up for a workshop manual.
For the box you have to get the box upto normal running temp and then park up on flat even surface cycle through each gear, then out into neutral and that should give you a correct reading of box oil.

Re: I REALLY NEED SOME ADVICE PLEASE
Thermostat is located under driver side at top front of engine just below rocker cover. Have to remove driver seat, centre console and then engine bay covers(nothings easy but well worth it in the end when she's all running properly)

Re: I REALLY NEED SOME ADVICE PLEASE
Oil sensor is located on top of engine covers under center console. Cant remember if it's the brown or white plug atm but think its the brown one the other one (white) goes to seat belt clip

Re: I REALLY NEED SOME ADVICE PLEASE
OMG I only found your replies by complete accident, Thank you so much for your reply but I am still a little confused haha this site is as frustrating as all my Largo problems haha, so are you saying to access the thermostat and oil pressure sensor its under the drivers seat? and I believe the whole seat has to be un bolted and then other plates etc, is that correct? You had mentioned about getting the auto box fluid reading, I am so sorry but I didn't really understand what you said and where the reading would be shown after following your instructions? Is there a fluid dipstick? and filler cap? so sorry to hassle you but I've spent an entire day researching and you are the only person who has helped and offered advice

Re: I REALLY NEED SOME ADVICE PLEASE
Sorry not the best at explaining.
forgot the dipstick lol
if you slide drivers seat forward and lift carpet there's a access panel held on by three bolts. The dip stick is under that and that is also the only way to fill.
To check gearbox level you have to drive it for a while until gearbox us warm. Then park up and change through each gear park,reverse,neutral,drive,2,1 and then put back in neutral and check dipstick.
The oil sensor is underneath the centre console. 2 bolts behind fag lighter(slides to right) then 2 bolts in cup trays, then 2 bolts in the tray behind again, then to the left of ashtray there is a little panel Tha pulls off and there is 2 screws there(don't forget to unplug the light for ashtray its a white plug). Then put the bus in neutral and the centre console lifts up over and off. Remove the seat 4bolts. then carpet lifts off and the sensor is plugged in where you just lifted the centre console from(brown plug).
To get at thermostat you have to unbolt the engine covers(loads of 12mm bolts) and irs at the front driverside of engine(cant miss loads of pipes coming out of it. Hope this helps explains things easier or I can pm you my num n we can go from there. Let me know. I know how frustrating starting out with these busses can be (no info nowhere and Nissan just cant be arsed mate)
