How to kit out a largo

Post by petehall57 »

Hi I am Pete and I have just bought a 2.4 petrol 4wd 1997 highway star and know nothing. Just wondered the best way to kit it out. I am on the Isle of Wight.

what are you going to start with? ICE or exterior mods? Bits'n'bobs are harder to come by these days as the largo is an aging beast! Most folk usually start off by sticking in a double din stereo of some description..dvd roof mounted screen in rear/upgraded speakers etc...

Hi
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to take out a set of seats and remove the runners by unbolting the rails

Yes it sure is, many have done this before, is yours the 8 seat variant? I'm not sue how many sets of rails there are but I thought the second and third row shared the same rails? I have the 7 seater which some have modded by removing the middle or indeed rear row.

Thanks for that. Someone has removed the rear seats and the middle ones remain. I want to ditch the middle ones and put them at the back. Will they fit or were the back ones smaller. The rails go right through the two rows of seats. Any Ideas.

Thanks Pete

I've not actually seen an 8 seater in the flesh so I'm not sure if the rear wheel arches would mean that the seats were different, Perhaps someone else with an eight seater would know or I suppose you could just remove the middle row and see if you can get it to fit at the back!
