We have a silver Nissan Largo. We love it. We've owned it for around 3 years now and have driven to Germany and back in it. The kids love it. This is the first time that we have had any trouble and we're hoping to get some good advice from people that know and love their vehicles. The engine has started to cut out / stall when we reach a junction and stop or try to do a manouvre. It's normally when we are shifting through the automatic gearbox and it seems to lose revs. It seems to happen more when the car is colder and less when it has been running for a while and warm. It also happens when we put the steering wheel into full lock either way.
Also, we've just managed to smash the rear window and were wondering if anyone knows of anywhere cheaper than £800 to fix the large rear window?
Hoping that somebody could help us

Does seem like a common problem but might not be so easy to fix. Try to find someone who's breaking a largo and get the whole tailgate which would be cheaper then the glass alone probably,

And Hellooo to you too sir! Yes the stalling issue seems to haunt a few of the members & can be caused/made worse by a number of factors. Best to start with the cheap & simple things and work through to the more expensive ones. If you find an easy fix so much the better, and if it does turn out to be something more involved then you have the peace of mind in knowing that everything else is in tip top shape too, after it's fixed.
Id start with a full service if it's not been done recently, change engine & gearbox oil (making sure to get the gearbox level correct as per recommended checking procedure. not 100% if it's the same on these but usually that means for an autobox running it up to temperature, selecting each position on the lever in turn before going back to N, and then checking the level with the engine running. But double check it's the same before going ahead with this), all the filters & while the engine's exposed give the air separator a good clean/new gasket and also clean or blank the EGR valve. Would probably be worth testing the glow plugs too, and disconnecting every electrical plug you can get to, making sure the contacts are tight and giving a good spray with contact cleaner before reconnecting them.
