Engine Cutting Out - HELP!!!!!!!!!
Have been the proud owner of our Nissan Largo for nearly 2 years now, in which time we have had an amazing amount of fun and have driven all over the UK, covering 15,000 miles in that time. Over the course of the last 3 months, but getting progressively worse, the engine has started to cut out, mostly at the beginning of a day or journey (ie when starting the Largo for the first time after a while). The cutting out happens most when engaging the gear in reverse, although it also happens when selecting Drive.
I tried to ready up extensively on the internet about this problem and I seemed to find two possible problems:
1) The Mass Air Flow Meter which I have now had replaced - so that wasn't the problem!
2) The Crank Shaft sensor, which I haven't had replaced as I cannot find a part.
I took it to Nissan Worthing yesterday and they ran a diagnostics on it, and could only come up with 2 possible problems, which they weren't certain about, given that the Largo is a Japanese import and that their machine couldn't read imports.
They gave me 2 codes:
F/INJ and F/B2 and said this was either a problem with the fuel pump or the ECU.
I am desperate to get the Largo fixed as my wife and kids love it to bits.
I live in Billingshurst, West Sussex. If anyone can help at all with advice/suggestions or even better a practical solution, then I'd be really grateful if someone could call me on my work number 01403 783405 or my mobile 07766 804402.
Thanks a million.
Joe
