newbie fan sensor

hi all , i just got my first largo and have had a few problems with it , i am down to one now i hope and that was because my radiator cracked at the top , i have glued it for now and seems ok but i have not heard the fans come on at all , any ideas how to test this sensor and where it is ?
any ideas how to check or get over this would be great , also i had a big stalling problem and all it was after being told 20 million things was the air seperater on the manifold was realy blocked , seemed to solve my problem , thanks Pat

to stop it gunging up again do egr mod, i think fan temp switch is under drivers seat round stat housing one is for temp gauge other is fan put ign on and bridge wires on plug fans should come on or temp gauge will go up this will tell u which one is which,if fans do come on then they are ok working if not check fuses and relay or replace switch

just found out how to read post replies
wondering how well you know the 20td engine
as my water pump seized and belt nipped today?
is it hard to do ?
i have some knoledge but not a lot
do you know if it possible to do from underneath or a garge all day job
all help would be good as i am in a bad way allways happens at xmas loll
