Hi All,

I'm Will and I live in Leicester.

Excuse my ignorance firstly. I stumbled across the Nissan Largo on the auto trader. I'm car mad and can't believe I've never heard of these. My pride and joy is my 2003 Ep3 Civic Type R. It's my daily, with extensive list of modifications with a view to track it this year. My other car is a 97 Escort that the wife uses to transport my 4 children to school/ shops. I reckon it's not going to pass an MOT in May, and there's no chance I'm spending on it. The Largo appeals to me, firstly because they seem to be cropping up at around the 2k mark. Secondly, the space!!! We'd also be able to go out in just the one car. I've had a Zafira GSI, and although it was nippy, fully laden with kids, space was extremely limited. I also like the option with the Largo to have a pic nic inside it with the family on a day trip to airshows, the zoo, safaris etc.

So, I'm off to have a browse, research to death these vehicles to prepare myself what I'm potentially getting myself into

Hi mate and welcome. Good look on your mission, you can't go wrong with the space in a largo, even with everyone in you still have room behind the rear seats for your gear. I think it's a jap thing as all the import people carriers have plenty of space. I had a mitsubishi delica before my largo and that was a great motor but a little thirstie had loads of room and as the largo you can fold all the seats flat and chuck a blow up mattress on and you've got a camper.

Exactly- just want a vehicle big enough to carry everyone in comfort, and for the kids to sit and eat. The engine is in a really odd place- the petrol engine, what else can it be found in that is a UK car? Thinking parts.

hi will, im 2 a car nut, iv also had zafira gsi, evo,scooby,supra to name just a few, I am now the proud owner off a largo and have been for the past 2 yrs, I can honestly say its one off the best decisions iv made, they come well equipped standard and modified they for sure stand out from the crowd, if you choose the right one you will have many smile miles for yourself and family, and just to top it off,,,,,, this site is amazing iv modified my bus and every question iv asked has been swiftly replied too, seriously its better than a service/repair manual and the members are all friendly/help full. That's good to hear lee. My history isn't as high end as yours, I've had a 1.9 JTD HGT Punto new in 2005, onto a Zaffy GSI, Then a Mondeo ST220, two new BMW 116Ds, a TDCI Mondeo, and I've settled on my EP3 Civic Type R that's keeping me surprisingly occupied. I'm drawn to the 2.4 Petrol 2WD. The plan would be to shell out 2k max on one, the do the works to it.... Full service, transmission fluid, oil, filters, sparks, new leisure battery,then spend a couple of days detailing it as that is also a passion of mine, keeping my cars pristine. Any tips when I go to view? Apart from the obvious clunks in the wrong places.
