Re: New Owner, same problems
Pressed Enter too early. I have just picked up our van yesterday and at the time of buying it was fine. A 200 mile drive home and now it has the engine warning light on and keeps stalling. We plan to use this for a charity rally to Benidorm so I need to get to the bottom of this quite quickly. As the previous owner is now not responding to me but seems to have been able to hide the problem can anyone point me in the right direction for a fix? Or a mechanic on the south coast with experience with Largos

Re: New Owner, same problems
Id start with draining the fuel filter (It's under the drivers seat). To do this you have to remove drivers seat then lift carpet and there's about 8 bolts that hold the cover that drivers seat was sat on. Then you have to refill it by removing the white plastic wing nut on the side and gently push the plunger on top of the fuel filter until fuel comes out the hole where you removed the wing nut. Then put around £50 diesel in and £5 petrol it will help clean the crud out.
Id also check the plenium its on the exhaust manifold. It's a diamond shape plate with the letter A on it held on by 2 bolt it gets clogged with carbon badly(messy job)

Forgot to mention to check the gearbox oil while your doing the fuel pump. There's a dipstick near the fuel pump. The dipstick is also accessible by sliding drivers seat forward and under the carpet there's a round plate held on by 3 bolts. The oil should be cherry red. If its brown its well overdue a change

Hi pataylor25, did you get to the bottom of the stalling issue, I ask as I have the same problem, engine warning light comes on occasionally and the van stalls at lights and when reversing sometimes ! Any help much appreciated.
