Fan belt

Hi can anyone help me out. How do you put on a new fan belt as I can get it over two pulles but not over the alternator. This is the long one hope someone can help me .

If you slacken the adjusting bolt on alt tensioner pulley it will go on main pulley then over alt pulley then over tensioner.

Its on now then is it. Just out of curiosity was it the tensioner bolt not undone enough

Maybe false alarm... got the belt on and it seems to be OK. Alternator is a little closer to the fan pulley than I would have expected, but it works.
