broken door handle help.

ive broken my drivers side door handle went on line for a replacement from breakers yard an recieved a reply second hand door handle (used) £120 including vat and postage surely there trying it on has anyone got any advice as im not paying that for a small pieace of plastic i have my mot soon and im desperate as its a fail without it ?

nice one mate ill have to remove it tomorrow and post a pic its just the plastic handle theres a small catch that has broken on the handle that opens the latch just another question if you dont mind ive had my largo for 3yrs now when i picked it up i noticed the dipstick for the gearbox fluid had snapped of it hasnt affected the gearbox in that time the fluid is still cherry red since ive owned it but i cant check the levels would the engine oil stick be identical length as im unsure as to the levels it should be at and for the last few days it seems to be very reluctant to change up to the last gear when in overdrive it seems to try but just cant engage thankyou for your response.this is intermitent as well does not happen all the time ?

Won't lock down when it's cold. No auto box does .
