Hey, my names Paul, and just bought a 1996 Hughway Star. Looking forward to getting it up to scratch!
I'm trying to go over it and work out what things do.
Can anyone tell me what the button next to the 'heat'' button does? (And what does the 'heat' button do?) I think it may have been replaced at some point by a previous owner. I have a picture..
Also can you tell me what the button that says 'snow' and 'power' does? And the difference when it's selected on neither.
Thank you

4wd also glass top with white alloys.

That switch is most likely for the fog light at the back.
The heat switch runs the engine at high idle until up to temperature, good for defrosting on cold mornings.
Snow => start in second gear, change up early
Power => hold onto gears on the way up, change up late (engine hits higher RPMs)
In the middle the ECU acts between the two, though if you floor it it will work out that you want power, and illuminate the light on the switch to show it temporarily selected.

Or that button on the dash that swings the mini-bar out, dangerous while driving.
