That's what I've done for now mate, except with a bolt lol. Was just going to blank it if it turned out to be stuck open but I don't think it is, pipe stayed cold & no more 2200rpm glitch :)

it's fantastic, should also prevent a repeat performance of the hellish scene inside the plenum/A plate, and me having hands like kunta kinte for the next week lol, carbonised diesel and oil is one hell of a thing to get off!

Can't believe how such a small mod can make such a difference. Will have to look into doing the hammer mod soon though as my idle is just over 750rpm hot (no fault codes afaik, no eml flashing unless it stalls)

Glad to hear you've had the A-plate-hands too. ;)

Mine has a little flat spot at 2000 rpm. I keep meaning to clean out the whole EGR system. Last car I just blanked it off though.

Had, and still got too... And a couple of smears on my arms :D Ah well, it's for a good cause at least & she seems to appreciate the attention. Blanking's good, but if you just disconnect the vac pipe & plug it, then start the engine and see if the metal EGR pipe gets warm you might get away without it. Mine was incredibly dirty but the valve isn't leaking and just disconnection fixed the miss/hesitation :)

I dropped my a
A-plate in a tub petrol, all the shit just dissolved n cleaned inside where A-plate sits with a little wd40.
Give a little squirt then start engine n run for a couple mins then repeat process a couple of times.
Life a BITCH!!!
Then you get a LARGO!!!
