New bloke

Post by BigFella »

Evening all

I've owned loads of Japanese cars over the years and fancy something that's capable of dual purpose fun ('posh' workhorse and weekend/seaside fun bus). I really like the look of the 1998 shape and with a set of Rota's or similar, I think it could just do the job :)

Anyway, I'm looking forwards to reading and learning about these and taking part in the banter. I read about Hutch's on retrorides so I'm hoping to find others similar (maybe not quite as powerful ;) ) for inspiration.

Cheers cheers
Hutch

Hey bud, I have 2 Petrol Largo's now ;-) you will NOT find another like mine ha ha. Last mapping session saw 422 at the hubs and 485ftlb This session with new custom pistons should see over 500 at the hubs and 550ftlb.
you definitely picked the right one to go for, petrol engine is so much better than the diesel for reliability. Just my opinion
welcome to the club.
I do have a forged engine and turbo manifold going spare ;-)

Behave yourself!! :D

One of the reasons for favouring the petrol, sad as this may be, is LPG options. I'm tight and I don't like working more than I have to so have to bear in mind that running costs count (hence no more R32's or R33's etc)

With my background in Skylines I was very impressed with your car Hutch, both in terms of style and performance tuning. I have a feeling if I pick one up, it will be a lot more modest than that! Maybe a few concessions towards styling but performance stuff just isn't happening ;)
