speedo problem

Hi everyone I have just got myself a nissan largo an love it the only thing is a couple of problems that I hope someone can help me with one is as soon as I turn my ignition my speedo jumps to 12mph an stays there even when driving 2nd the odd time when I go to set off in drive or reverse it cuts out but then it's fine only happens the odd time this is on a 2ltr diesil 96 model hope someone can help as for years I have been a vw transporter guy

Do your Power light flash or stay steady when you turn on the ignition?

The power light flashes when I turn the ignition over then goes off is that a normal thing I thought it was sorry for late reply I've been away

Hi I got a friend to hook up a diagnostics and it told us that there is a problem with the throttle control sensor so I can get that sorted then all I need to do is take the dash of and see why the speedo isn't working as it has been changed from kmh to mph before I had it and when you turn on the ignition it sticks at 14mph even in tick over
