Hi everybody
Just about to purchase my Largo, nice vehicle, can't wait to get my hands on it!
First q though.....
It's a 2.0 petrol, but the v5 & any vrm lookup is telling me it's a 2.4 Diesel?..
Anyone have any advise as to my next move?
Thanks again.

Hi and welcome to the club.
The Largo comes in various combinations but the only two engine's in it are the 2.0L Diesel and 2.4L Petrol. So some information wrong there somewhere.
If it's a Diesel find out when the cam belt was done. Get some money knocked off if they don't know. If it's Petrol it's a chain driven timing so no need to worry. BUT if they are as clueless as you and it is Petrol then ask them the same question. May get some money knocked off for nothing
Petrol and Diesel are both very reliable but the Diesel needs to be services regular to keep it running well. E.G. change the oil/filter at least once a year, etc.
Hope you get a bargain

Re: Hi all
Thanks for the reply, it's defiantly a petrol (I have seen them fill it), so it must be the 2.4, which it does say on the log book, but both the log book & the VRM we have at work (my father has a spares shop) show it most definitely as fuelled by diesel.Cueball wrote:Hi and welcome to the club.

I'm looking at getting it for 2400, it only has 55 thousand (miles) on the clock, but I am concerned about insuring it on the existing paperwork because of the engine anomalies, do you have any advise?
Thanks again.
