Hello and do you want to buy any parts before I ebay them?

Post by digby »

Hi, It's a bit of a sad introduction but I'm breaking '96 2.0 TD 2WD Highway Star that I've enjoyed owning it for 5 years but it made it's last journey with me about 6 weeks ago when it blew it's head gasket.

Having had the "challenge" of sourcing parts for it over the years I wanted to give the opportunity to enthusiastic owners to buy parts off my vehicle first before I ebay them.
Its the model without the sunroof or blue stripes and items of interest would be:

Headrests
Interior Panels
Nissan Foot Well Mats
Brand New Space Saver Spare.
Brand New Rocker Cover Gasket
Radiator
Workshop Manual
Owners Manual
Brand New Fuel Filter
Brand New Oil Filter
Brand New Sump Gasket
Skirts to go all around the vehicle ( I was doing these up so they need a spray but i can give you the colour matched silver paint to finish the job).
Towbar I had fitted two weeks before it died.

Any sensible offer will be entertained for any part of the vehicle and if you want to view or have photos sent to you then you can contact me either here or at:
bignigedesigns@yahoo.co.uk

I live in Shirley in the West Midlands if you are thinking of collection / shipping costs.

Thanks,

Nigel

Hey Nigel, Welcome to the forums.

Will you be getting another? How did you like your Largo experience?

I would like to request the following,

* Rear Heater Matrix
* Exhaust Downpipe from turbo to just past the flexi. Providing it's in ok condition
* Turbo water pipe which runs around the front of the engine behind the alternator idler.

Hi Cueball,
I loved my largo but sadly I'll be getting a more mundane LWB van as soon as I find one I can afford.
I have to say I learnt a lot about mine working through trying to find parts, servicing and fixing it. It also taught me a lot with having to deal with garages. I think I would have had the same response had I floated in a space ship a lot of the time.
They're packed with features and a very handsome vehicle, even for an old boy.
I'll take some photos of the parts you want and post them as soon as I can.

I'll take the towbar off and get a quote for shipping for you. If you can wait a while, my girlfriend's dad lives down your way and I'm sure i'll be forced to pay him a visit at some point ;-)
