In need of help !!!!

Post by antonscott2080 »

Frist a big hello to all the largoers out there
Ok can you help me out
Iv just got my largo high way star 2 week ago
Love it to bits but it done like to drink a lot of diesel
Iv done the all filters changed the oil
But she still drinks a bit more then she should be
I want to make her 2wd cos I was told that it would help out a lot
Now some people said to take out the prop and diff some said change
The gear box and so on
Fill abit lost on what to do :(
Could I just not take out the prop at frist to see how she runs ?
If you can help me out or know of a vid or down loads I could read
Or watch that would be a big help
Well think that's me for a min
All the best to all :)))

Alright m8 glad to have you aboard. Welcome to the forum.
Right yes just take front prop off . But I'd need to know a few more things about your mpg.
What do you actually get mpg. Any smoke from exhaust ? What's it run like since service.

just remove the front prop as it is dirrect drive to the rear and chain and clutch to front. also timing the pump with a dial gauge can make a big difference.

The Diesel's aren't the best for MPG's :(
Have a look at my signature for an idea of my MPG's (not updated for a short time, just being lazy)
Oh and I have a Diesel, rear wheel drive SX-G.
