hello derek
nissan should know but because its an import they dont want to know normally and play dumb like most dealer parts desk people
try a local motor factors or the one I use is new forest motors and they do a small range of sensors but most are dealer only parts
you can call to see if they have one 023 8033 3865 or they will tell you if its dealer only
If not, the largo from what I understand has the same 2.0 diesel engine as the vanette and the primera p11 95-2002 so theoretically it should have exactly the same sensor
Its always good to do cambelt every 40k so no history do it for piece of mind and remember these have 2 cambelts 1 front and 1 rear and make sure you do the idlers, tensioner and water pump at the same time because its alright doing the belt but the other parts can all go as well, mine died recently due to the rear belt idler collapsing.
I just spent £175 for everything for the engine, thats new belts idlers tensioner filters oil flush etc - the whole lot

Hi and welcome to the boards.
The cam drive sensor!!! do you mean the crank angle sensor (CAS)? if it's a CAS you are after then they are dealer parts only or secondhand. The problem is there aren't any new ones in the UK, so will have to be imported by the dealer and will take ages to turn up and cost about £110. The other problem you may find is that secondhand working ones are like hens teeth and hard to come by but cost about £30.
As for Cam belt, it doesn't need doing in order to fit the CAS but if you're planning a long journey and have no history then it might be worth getting a full 60k service before setting off

Definitely get cam belt done. Lost my 1st engine due to cam belt going. Also get the fuel pump belt done.

Re: sx-g 20ti 1997
Fault code 21 by any chance?
The chances are it's the crank angle sensor (aka crank position sensor). However there are other things that can cause this fault but they come back with different codes. Mine is coming back with a fault code 15 for instance.
One of the main reasons these go down is due to an oil leak or bad fitting by a garage.

Yep still the CAS or CranK Position (CKP) sensor as some people like to call it
Error Code:
47 - Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor - incorrect signal Wiring open/short circuit, CKP sensor
