tick over on 2.0 diesel

hi everyone i`m from the rhondda valleys. Ive recently bought a 2.0 diesel highway star and had it serviced but the tick over is 6-7000 revs and sometimes cuts out when going into drive or when stopping at lights, is there any way i can adjust the throttle control to up the revs.

its probly the return valve under passenger seat,

lift passenger seat and you should see a little oval shaped flange held on by 2 10 mm bolts,
carefully take of and pull out,
give it a good clean with petrol/thinners and replace, maybe with a little gasket sealent,
be carefull not to distort or bend,
this should sort it for you,
