hi all exhaust help required by new member

Post by Greendragon »

Hi everybody I have a 2.4 petrol 4wd sx-g and yesterday on my way home from work the back box fell off, has anybody else had to replace this or exhaust and if so, can you give any ideas as to if I can go to local exhaust place or are they none standard and only available from a few places. Thanks!

They snap at the flange! Best bet is get a stainless one made or have the old one welded.

I had a new flange welded on the backbox for a quick fix, but ended up getting a full stainless system custom made with a decat :)

when i looked at buying mine i noticed the back box was rusty and i was thinking, " Hummmm wonder how easy it is to get one? "
then when i picked it up because it had to be motd ectect being a freh imprt it had a new one on.
So they must be available. How much? im sure some one on here will give you a idea.
If it's alot off set it against a st steel one as above ;1

Thanks for all your help, stainless steel not in my price range at the minute (baby on the way, and wife got made redundant before smp kicked in) so looks like digging the welder out. Thanks again for everything!
