Hey there everyone, yes its a sad day when your Largo wont start!
You may have experienced this yourself???
Im in New Zealand and we are having a mild winter - around 16 degrees today but still she won't fire. Turns over fine. Battery good. Sometimes will start if jumper'ed to another vehicle but sometimes doesn't too. Discovered that I could get her to start cold when a little petrol is poured into the air breather pipe. (She's an automatic diesel, 1991 turbo). I notice the fuel light comes on when I try to start her up. Replaced the glow plugs which are still fine. Wondering if it could have something to do with the starting solenoid???
Any experience with this issue or advice would be appreciated

Re: LD20T COLD START PROBLEMS ?????????????
i would check the fuel pump. Get in and shut the door, turn the key to on position but do not try start. You should hear the pump in the tank energise for a few seconds. If you can not hear anything remove the driver side covers and take the fuel pipe off the filter and try again. You should see the fuel pump out when you try the key again as before. The relay for the fuel pump is under the hood on the left. You will see two the same in he box so you can swap these over to rule out relay. Hope that helps.

Manual or automatic choke? If auto check its pulling the choke on.

are you sure the battery is a good one, have you put a meter on it.im only asking because my old battery used to turn my bus over ok but there wasn't enough juice in the battery to fire the cow up.
