Nissan Largo Friends

hello my name is kingsley and I have just aquried a 1996 largo import. On first drive I did not think the auto box was very smooth does it have an ecu that can be reset or where do I top up the fluid. Love everything else about it. It is a 2000 diesel

Welcome along. Check the oil by sliding drivers seat forward and under the carpet there's a panel held on by 3 10mm bolts. Under there you will find the dipstick. The oil should be cherry red. You fill it through dipstick aswell. To reset the ecu just undo the battery for a few mins. A little tip for you is too check the plenium its probably clogged with carbon and seriously reduces power and fuel economy. Its under passengers seat on inlet manifold. Its diamond shaped with the letter A on it held on by 2 bolts. I'm sure they're 12mm

what does the plenam do, cleaned it and great improvement, smoother, changes gear sooner. is it just a tube or should there be some sort of filter in it.
