Fuel filter housing.

Hi, my name is; Paddy and I'm new to this forum. I've just bought my Largo Highway 2.0 Diesel and I'm having starting issues. The Guy who sold it to me swears it has never been a problem to him...mmm...He said his name is Dean, but I think it's probably; Arfur Daley....
Anyway, after a new Battery and Starter motor, the latest theory is the fuel filter housing is knackered and is pulling in air through the bleed valve. Does any one know where I can get such a replacement item from?

Cheers

Paddy.

Try a breaker on eBay, I've had luck with this guy:

His prices are fine and the items (in my case including a headlight and indicator) were suitably packaged to avoid damage. And he communicates well - wish all sellers were like him.

I'd just order the whole filter housing. Stick some 8mm clear braided hose between the filter and the pump and see if you see any bubbles :)

What is the nature of the problem? Does it require a lot of cranking before it will start? Have you checked the glow plugs are working OK?

I've seen one recently where the o-ring sealing the water sensor against the underneath of the fuel filter was slowly leaking, so if it stood for a bit it took some cranking to get it going. Fixed with a new o-ring.
