Hi and welcome the the club.
RPM gauge could be the cabes, the actual dial or the sensor. Try cleaning the connectors on the back of the clock.
The accelerating temp drop is this once it warms up? Could be you have a stuck thermostat or not one at all and the coolant is constantly running to the front rad which will cool it down.
You can buy the remotes on eBay second hand. But you can control the rear air con from the front panel by pressing RR first then change the settings.

There aren't any listed on eBay right now. But keep an eye out. Also worth sending a message to the ones that are breaking a Largo on there to ask for one.

RPM gauge is a funny one, a friend of mine had issues with his and we had the dash apart multiple times, cleaned up connector contacts and resoldered all the joints on the PCB, but it kept coming back. When it was reading the wrong RPM EcuTalk would show the RPM correctly so we don't believe a sensor issue. We tried wiggling all the dash connectors and cabling when it wasn't working and that didn't help (we even wiggled the ECU connector cabling). What did work was disconnecting the battery and leaving the whole car unpowered for half a day, he's not had an issue since.
