Largo owner

Hi there I have a largo 2 litre diesel I'm having trouble with the gear box it doesn't want to change into 4th gear when it does it jumps from 4th to 3rd by the way it's an automatic does anyone know how I can fix this or point me in the right direction .. oil change been done

Does the rev counter jump around?

It may just be a sensor, either RPM from side of the fuel pump or road speed sensor on the output shaft.

Hi no rev counter stays constant.....I have done the oil twice ,took sump plate off and cleaned the gause , but not checked anything else any help will be much appreciated...

Hi. Just remembered the steering rack is squeeling on full lock ,where is the power steering reservoir so I can check fluid levels???

on passenger side yyou will see a plastic panel on side of console meeting glove box pull panel off and reservoir is in there under a panel with a wing nut on it

Might be the power steering pump belt slipping, may just need retensioning - up to 1996 power steering pump is on the nearside, 1997+ offside.

Thank you for advice ill have a look at that tonight.....will I be able to see the rpm sensor from under the passenger seat or has it got to be done from underneath? ? Still trying to solve the gearbox issue......it often feels like its stuck in overdrive but itn not....!!! Strange..

Hello ,
Just done a code read on gearbox 1 long flash followed by 10 quick ones....
Also found power steering reservoir ...needs topping up!!!
