Under center console beneath the carpet theres a brown plug and a white plug if they are left unplugged the oil light will stay on the other plug is connected to seat belt holder

it seems mr Kwikfit decided to remove the centre console or disturb it in some way??
I sold Scooby this car so am wondering why on earth have they removed the switch etc?

They probably had to go searching for where to re-gas. All garages i spoke to before i started doing the work myself didnt have a clue.

but even if that is the case they gave Scooby the car back with the lights illuminated and said they hadn't touched anything

Ofcourse kwik-shit are gonna deny it if they think they're to blame. When i first started i rushed putting it all back together and only realized that i haven't plugged it in when i started it up

Oil warning + brake light is either temp sensor on top of centre console disconnected or under-engine cooling fan disconnected.
Suggestion that the people you took it to were poorly trained monkeys that couldn't plug stuff back together that they disconnected.
