Hi everyone !!!
Just bought my first nissan largo(highway star) yehaaaa its!!!! a '95 2.0 td
Traveled all the way for the sunny' isle of wight' to 'Newcastle' to pick her up
( 1hr 30 mins flying from southampton and 8 hours drive home !!!! )
worth every minute of it !!!
My wife is a child minder and we have 3 children of our own and thought that largo would be ideal for camping holidays and my wife's buissness...
but have had nothing but problems since we got home
Was told by previous owner that it needed a new starter motor as it took a while to turn over ,
gradualy starter spinned faster an faster till it fired, fair enough i can live with that new starter sorted....
took it to my local garage to double check before forking out for starter, they told my they think its main diesel pump (bolted to engine its not the cable type its electronic)...cant find 1 anywere and there £3000, from nissan!!!! so i've been told...
anyway we've been living with the fact that it takes at least 45seconds (after the glow plug light goes out) to speed up and fire...
today she went to pick kids up from school and nothing .....have dash lights glow plug relay clicks ok and can hear a clicking from the diesel pump (under the drivers seat by) but not even trying to start have power at starter and bought brand new battery no good anyone got any advise please!!??11
look forward to getting to no you all !!!!
