				Hello everyone,
have just found and joined this site while searching the web trying to solve my 'Largo's' little problem.
It is an SG-X 2.4 petrol 4 wheel drive.I was driving to work when it basically slowly stopped working and ground to a halt.{ultra reliable till this happened}.Then would only idle roughly then stop.Mechanic said it was air-flow meter.Got another 2nd hand one.Didn't work.Checked fuel pressure & sensor on distributer, all good.Got a brand new airflow meter on appro. now it will idle but not rev[dies when accelerater is used].He says the throttle sensor is good,am now looking to try another computer, mine says nothing is wrong, but don't know where else to look.Any ideas anybody!.

				Thanks for the welcome
Another question which no-one has been able to answer for me.
Is the 2.4 petrol engine the same as the 'Bluebird' 2.4 engine?.I have been told this is so
If so an english workshop manual for the engine can be easily obtained by getting a Bluebird manual, but can anyone confirm this????

Hi Welcome to the club. The engine is the KA24DE which is also in a U13 Bluebird according to Wikipedia and a few other vehicles.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_KA_engine#KA24DE
I don't have much knowledge on the petrol Largo.
Are you using a consult cable and a computer? If so are you saying it's not reporting any faults?
Sounds like it could be the fuel pump too? Not enough flow? Maybe wrong. Some1 else will be along soon to help.

I don't know how my mechanic is 'conferring' with the computer, but he says he has allready checked fuel pump/filter and pressure at the rail and says all 3 are good.Thank you for the confirmation about the engine and wikipedia link, it was much appreciated.

Have you checked the cold start valve and its thermostatic switch on the throttle body. And also the crank breather valve located in the block running to the inlet pipe as if this has a problem it will pass unmetered air.

				hello everyboby,
Largo lives,it is alive.Mechanic changed the computer for a second hand one and it sprung back to life.He then changed the mass airflow meter back to my one to see what happened.No-go,he then put the second hand unit in he had got in the first place and it ran again,so I didn't have to buy a new one.Have had it back for a few days now and it is running great. No idea why it stopped, computer said all was good, yet when changed for another, off it went,[with another mass airflow meter].Am very happy to have it back, but it has cost me an arm and a leg.
Hope you all have a good weekend
