Hi from warrington an please help

Just got a 2.0 td largo failed Mot on excessive smoke (black ) wile driving it home I noticed if u put ur fit down the egr valve opens an makes a noise could this be the problem. An do replace or is a there a blank kit available

Hi. First of all welcome.
With your egr you can either clean it out including the diamond shaped plate on the intake manifold with an A on it. If you want to shut it off you can put a ball bearing in the vacuum tube which activates it. Much quicker than blanking it off.
