2wd with 7 spoke alloys, replacement speakers and sub in the boot. Awaiting repair after crashing it. :(
4wd also glass top with white alloys.
Can never have too many Largos!

Yes mine behaves better but it's still got issues. Will just have to carry on tinkering as time allows.

Re: New Highway Star owner, Aberdeen
The van is booked in for next Tuesday and it may take a few days, but I'll certainly report back with the garage's findings. I've found mechanical fuel pumps on ebay, not that expensive, but I think it's a fly-by-wire job I might need (1996 N reg).
Anyway, for the time being I'm going to assume that's worst case scenario and pray that it's a loose wire or a fuse or something

It's quite likely it'll be fly-by-wire.
I've been hunting for a replacement injection pump for a couple of weeks but, no luck so far
The Primera CD20T engine has a very similar pump but it doesn't seem to have the RPM sensor like the Largo does.

Well, got home from work and gave the van a try. Started first time, though again the engine warning light was blinking repeatedly and the idle was a bit lumpy. Went for a wee drive, after about a mile the light stopped flashing. Stopped at a shop, got back in, fired her up and drove home with no problems. It's been warmer here today, I'm thinking this is a cold start issue.

When it cold started did you get a load of white smoke (unburnt diesel - glow plug not working) or was it just running a bit uneven?

No smoke, tttonyyy. Idle a bit uneven, but ok after being driven for a bit. I think the way forward is to drain water from the filter, see if that cures the flashing warning light. Will still put it into garage for checks though.

Quick update. Battery light now flickering also - a clue? Electrical gremlins / duff battery possibly. Running great when at full operating temperature.

Re: New Highway Star owner, Aberdeen
Sounds more and more like a faulty earth strap between engine and chassis.

Could well be.. I'm clutching at straws to be honest! Will post again when garage check things out. I really appreciate the comments and suggestions so far, thank you!
