Powered steering censor

Hi my name is Kevin just asking does anyone know if my Nissan largo 1997 2ltr deisel has a powered steering censor. And the location on the engine cheers kev

it has power steering but didnt heard it has power steering sensor.. what is problem ??

revs drop badly when stood still and turn the steering

Also happens when it neutral or only when in drive or reverse? Obviously if in drive or reverse there should be some crawl when the wheel is turned there is more resistance to moving forward so not really steering related per-se.
