Thanks for that. I'll give it a go before I spend out on Nissans price. I've drawn a complete blank on a second hand one.

Many thanks for the instructions for reading the codes. I have finally got around to looking at this. The vehicle constantly stalling is a great memory jogger!

The codes are 15 & 18 which do not appear on the above list.

Any ideas anyone???

Thank you for the info and sorry about the delay in replying.Interesting new direction! Can I test this Fuel Quantity adjuster position sensor and where is it located? Do you think this is likely to be a real fault or a red herring?

Try cleaning all the plugs on the pump. When I say clean I mean the contacts.

i've cleaned the contacts and run the test again. This time it still shows 15, 18 and a new one also not on the list 47.

What is 47 and where do I go from here?????

Welcome to the forums.

47 Crankshaft position (CKP) sensor - incorrect signal Wiring open/short circuit, CKP sensor

This could also cause the other two problems.

If you don't mind testing it then this should work. It's for an Audi but Tommy fitted one of these to a Terano and they have the same injection setup as the Largo.

Thank you for telling me that code 47 is Crank Position Sensor. I thought that was code 82 (as per the list from NRG).

The ebay item you mentioned does not exist any more but I will search for the part again to get a price.

I remain determined to resolve this issue!!

I just fixed a diesel with code 15 and 18.
Bad starting and huge cloud of smoke once started.
Turned out to be a duff/lazy starter motor.

It had better not be the starter motor!

I had to get mine reconditioned when I bought the vehicle.

It wouldn't start easily and that was the cause.

Do you know the difference between code 82 and 47?

The list you sent me said 82 was the crank position sensor but it seems that 47 is the same or similar?
